1st Day (Tuesday) MADRID – AVILA – SALAMANCA - PORTO
In the morning departure towards Avila, a city that still conserves its medieval walls. Short stop to discover its old and walled town. Then continue to Salamanca. Free time to visit this university city declared World Heritage Site for its architectural richness and artistic value. Departure towards the Portuguese frontier and arrival to Porto. Accommodation.
2nd Day (Wednesday) PORTO
Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning panoramic tour to admire the Cathedral, the Stock Exchange building, St. Clara church... Afternoon at leisure. Possibility to visit a local wine cellar to enjoy a tasting of the famous “Porto wine” (optional, not included). Accommodation.
3rd Day (Thursday) PORTO – COIMBRA - FATIMA
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to Coimbra, the oldest university city of Europe. Free time. Continue to Fatima, center of Christian faith and World Pilgrims Sanctuary with its impressive Basilica and Cova da Iria where Virgin Mary appeared. In the church is where the tombstones of Lucia, Jacinta and Francisco are. The Chapel of Apparitions, heart of the shrine. At night possibility to attend the Candlelight Procession. Accommodation at the hotel.
4th Day (Friday) FATIMA – BATALHA – NAZARE – ALCOBAÇA - LISBON
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to Batalha Monastery, a masterpiece of Gothic and Manueline style considered a World Heritage Place by UNESCO. Continue to Nazare, a picturesque fishing village. If weather permitting, continue to the Sitio to have a panoramic view of the beach and the village. Continue to Alcobaça with a visit of a 12th century church containing the tombs of Pablo and Inês de Castro. Departure to Lisbon. Accommodation at the hotel. At night optional Fado performance (optional, not included).
5th Day (Saturday) LISBON
Breakfast at the hotel. During the morning a sightseeing tour of the ancient Olissipo, driving through its main squares and avenues, Belem Tower, Jeronimos Monastery, Coach Museum, Monument to the Discoverers, Marquis of Pombal Square, Liberty Avenue. Afternoon at leisure for you to catch the nostalgic corners of Alfama Quarter, where the old city gathered next to its Castle, or an optional visit to Sintra and Cascais (optional, not included), which are declared World Heritage Sites. Accommodation at the hotel.
6th Day (Sun.) LISBON – CACERES - MADRID
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to Caceres considered as World Heritage place because of the city's blend of Roman, Islamic, Northern Gothic and Italian Renaissance architecture. Walk through its Plaza Mayor and the Old Town with its famous Medieval Quarter. Continue to Madrid. END OF OUR SERVICES.
